और अगर तुम Hathras district से हो — चाहे Hathras city से, Mursan से, Sadabad से, Sikandra Rao से, Sasni से, या Kareel, Asroi, Nagla Sheesham जैसे किसी गांव से — तो यह question और भी frustrating है। क्योंकि Shiksha.com पर जाओ — 64 colleges दिखाएगा। Collegedunia खोलो — 469 बताएगा। लगता है options तो भरपूर हैं।
पर reality?
469 में से ज़्यादातर वो Inter Colleges हैं जो "degree section" भी चलाते हैं — एक-दो rooms, part-time teachers, और एक affiliation certificate। Degree college और "degree भी मिलती है" — इनमें फ़र्क है। और यह फ़र्क Hathras में रहकर ही पता चलता है।
मैं Hathras से हूं। यहीं पढ़ा है। और honestly बताऊं तो — Hathras में colleges हैं, लेकिन जो education यहां चाहिए, वो अभी पूरी नहीं मिलती। यह कोई शिकायत नहीं है। यह reality है — और इसे accept करना पहला step है सही decision लेने का।
"469 Colleges" वाला झूठ — पहले यह समझो
Collegedunia पर "Hathras" search करोगे तो 469 colleges दिखेगा। Shiksha पर 64। Careers360 पर कोई अलग number।
कोई भी site ग़लत नहीं है — बस counting method अलग है। कुछ sites हर Inter College को count करती हैं। कुछ coaching centers को भी "college" मान लेती हैं। कुछ B.Ed और D.El.Ed training institutes अलग गिनती हैं।
Actual degree colleges जहां graduation (BA, BSc, BCom) होती है — वो 15-20 के आसपास हैं। Post-graduation (MA, MSc) वाले और भी कम। PhD? बस 1-2 colleges में, वो भी limited subjects में।
41 colleges BA offer करते हैं — सुनने में अच्छा लगता है। लेकिन इनमें 34 private हैं, 3 government, और 3 public-private partnership। Private का मतलब ज़रूरी नहीं कि बुरा, लेकिन quality में भारी variation है। कुछ colleges में genuine faculty है, library है, labs हैं। कुछ में बस एक building है और exam form भरवाने का arrangement।
18 Teaching & Education colleges भी हैं — B.Ed, D.El.Ed वाले। Hathras district में teachers की demand तो है, लेकिन placement guarantee? वो तो कोई नहीं देता।
हाथरस के जो Colleges Actually Matter करते हैं
सब colleges का नाम गिनाने से कोई फ़ायदा नहीं। मैं वो colleges बताता हूं जो Hathras district में actually कुछ मायने रखते हैं — और साथ में honest assessment भी।
PC Bagla College, Hathras — हाथरस का सबसे पुराना और सबसे बड़ा
Seth Phool Chand Bagla (PG) College — Hathras की education history इसी college से शुरू होती है। 14 जनवरी 1917 को एक middle school के रूप में इसकी शुरुआत हुई — Bagla परिवार ने इसे बनवाया था। Seth Phool Chand Bagla Hathras के जाने-माने philanthropist थे — उनके परिवार ने शिक्षा और समाजसेवा में जो योगदान दिया, यह college उसकी जीवित मिसाल है।
1917 में school। July 1958 में degree college बना। 1964 में post-graduation (PG) की recognition मिली। और आज — 100+ साल बाद — यह Hathras district का सबसे established educational institution है।
14 acres campus। Arts, Commerce, Science, Education — चार faculties। BA, BSc, BCom, B.Ed, MA, MSc, MCom, M.Ed — कुल 22 courses। PhD available है — English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Commerce, Chemistry, Math, Physical Education में research facilities हैं। Hathras में PhD program इस level पर और कहीं नहीं मिलता।

December 2025 में Vyaktigat Vikas Abhiyaan की team ने यहां AI awareness session किया — 200+ students आए थे। एक student ने पूछा था "Kya AI se hum apna business start kar sakte hain?" — यही spirit है Hathras के students की।
कमी क्या है: Infrastructure पुराना है — 100+ साल पुरानी building का charm है, लेकिन labs और classrooms upgrade चाहिए। Placement cell active नहीं दिखता। Kareel, Asroi, Sahpau जैसे दूर के गांवों से students आते हैं लेकिन hostel facility limited है। Potential बहुत है, investment ज़रूरत है।
Saraswati Degree College, Hathras — Science के लिए
1969 से चल रहा है — यानी 57 साल का track record। BA, BSc, MA, MSc, और PhD (Chemistry, Math, PE)। Setu Charitable Trust के under managed है। Auditorium, boys/girls hostel, cafeteria, gym, labs, library, sports complex, Wi-Fi — facilities की list तो impressive है। Official website: sdcollegehathras.ac.in
Science faculty यहां की strength मानी जाती है — especially Chemistry और Mathematics। Sadabad, Hasayan, और surrounding areas के science students के लिए यह PC Bagla के बाद दूसरा सबसे serious option है। लेकिन placement या industry connect के मामले में — यहां भी वही kahani है। पढ़ाई अच्छी हो सकती है, career planning तुम्हें खुद करनी पड़ेगी।
Maya Group of Institutions — Professional Courses
2012 में establish हुआ, Bareilly-Mathura Highway, Sokhana (RTO Office के पास) पर। Maya Shikshan Prashikshan Sansthan trust के under चलता है। AICTE approved। MBA, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, D.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Ed, D.El.Ed — Hathras district में सबसे diverse course offerings यहीं हैं।
अगर MBA, pharmacy, या BCA करना है तो Hathras में Maya Group practically एकमात्र option है। BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) यहां available है — जो IT-oriented career के लिए entry point बन सकता है।
लेकिन honest बात: National-level MBA placements की उम्मीद मत रखो। यह IIM या XLRI नहीं है। यहां का MBA local business management, small enterprise management, और self-employment के लिए ज़्यादा relevant है। अगर तुम्हें corporate career चाहिए, तो MBA Agra या Aligarh से करो।
MCEM (Mass College of Engineering & Management), Sasni
2009 से। Sasni, Hathras district में Aligarh-Agra Highway पर स्थित है। 12 acres campus, AICTE approved, AKTU (Abdul Kalam Technical University) से affiliated। B.Tech (CSE, ECE) और Diploma (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics)।

Hathras district का एकमात्र engineering college। सुनो — पूरे district में, जिसकी population 15 lakh+ है, एक engineering college है। बस एक। Sasni, Sikandra Rao, और surrounding areas के students के लिए engineering का closest option यही है।
Rankings में यह national level पर कहीं नहीं आता। अगर engineering serious career plan है, तो AMU (35 km, Aligarh) या Agra के colleges बेहतर options हैं। MCEM तब ठीक है जब budget और distance restrictions हों।
Government Degree College, Hathras
2016 में बना — काफ़ी नया है। BA, BSc available। Government college = सबसे सस्ता option। Fees minimal हैं। लेकिन नया होने की वजह से infrastructure और faculty दोनों developing stage में हैं।
Maharana Pratap Govt PG College, Sikandra Rao
Government college, 1999 से। 100 acres campus — district का सबसे बड़ा campus area। BA, BSc, BCom, MA available। Sikandra Rao Hathras city से करीब 20 km दूर है, तो commute factor consider करो।
Government fees + बड़ा campus + PG available — solid option है, especially अगर Sikandra Rao area से हो।
श्री लखन सिंह खजानी देवी (SLSKD) PG College, Mursan
Full name: Shri Lakhan Singh Khajani Devi Degree College — Mursan में सन 2000 से चल रहा है। हां, 2000 से — यानी 26 साल पुराना institution है। BA, BSc available। Railway station के ठीक सामने है — Mursan, Nagla Sheesham, Kareel, Hasanpur Baru, और surrounding गांवों से आने वाले students के लिए सबसे convenient location।
पहले Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra से affiliated था, अब RMPSSU Aligarh से affiliated है — Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University, जो Mursan के ही Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh के नाम पर बनी है। Freedom fighter, educationist, और visionary — जिन्होंने Afghanistan में India की पहली provisional government बनाई थी। अपने district का hero। Hathras district के 81 colleges इस university से affiliated हैं।
Nishtha Chaudhary Mahavidyalay, Mursan
Mursan का एक और college — Nishtha Chaudhary Mahavidyalay। BSc available है। Google पर 4.5 stars rating मिली है। Director Mahaveer Singh हैं, और उनके बेटे Deepu Thenua और Monu Thenua college के multiple operations manage करते हैं। Family-run institution है — और इसका फ़ायदा यह है कि decision-making fast होती है, students की problems directly founders तक पहुंचती हैं। Mursan area के students जो SLSKD के अलावा option ढूंढ रहे हैं, उनके लिए एक solid alternative है।
Mursan एक छोटा town है लेकिन education के मामले में SLSKD + Nishtha — दोनों colleges मिलकर surrounding villages (Nagla Sheesham, Asroi, Kareel, Lehra) के students को degree-level education accessible बना रहे हैं बिना Hathras city या Aligarh जाए।
जो Hathras में नहीं मिलेगा — यह भी जान लो
यहां मैं वो बात करूंगा जो कोई "best colleges" article नहीं बताएगा।
IT/Computer Science Engineering — नहीं है। MCEM में B.Tech है, लेकिन dedicated IT या CSE college नहीं है। अगर software development, data science, या AI/ML career बनाना है — Hathras के colleges इसके लिए equipped नहीं हैं। Point.
Placement cells — almost non-existent। कोई college website पर "100% placement" claim कर सकता है। Reality check करो — recruiters Hathras नहीं आते। Campus placement drives जो Delhi, Pune, Bangalore के colleges में होती हैं — वो यहां नहीं होतीं। तुम्हें खुद apply करना होगा, खुद network बनाना होगा।
Research culture — limited। PhD programs PC Bagla और Saraswati में हैं, लेकिन research output, publications, conference participation — इनमें बहुत scope है improvement का।
English communication training — gap है। ज़्यादातर colleges Hindi medium हैं। अच्छी बात है — लेकिन job market में English communication एक practical requirement है। यह skill separately develop करनी पड़ेगी।
मैं यह सब इसलिए नहीं बता रहा कि Hathras के colleges बुरे हैं। बता इसलिए रहा हूं ताकि तुम informed decision ले सको। अगर तुम्हें लगता है कि "बस BA कर लूंगा, job मिल जाएगी" — तो reality check अभी ले लो, बाद में disappointment से बेहतर है।
तो Hathras के Student को करना क्या चाहिए?
यही सबसे important section है। College choice सिर्फ beginning है — college के बाहर क्या करते हो, वो career define करता है।
Option 1: Hathras में पढ़ो, Skills अलग से बनाओ
Graduation Hathras से करो — PC Bagla, Saraswati, Maya Group, Government College, जो भी suit करे। लेकिन college के साथ-साथ:
- Digital skills सीखो — Google Digital Garage (free), HubSpot Academy, YouTube tutorials। Digital marketing Hathras से कैसे सीखें — पूरी guide यहां पढ़ो
- AI tools सीखो — 2026 में किसी भी field में AI knowledge competitive advantage है। ChatGPT, Gemini, Canva AI — basics free में सीख सकते हो
- Freelancing शुरू करो — Fiverr, Upwork, Internshala पर profile बनाओ। College के दौरान ही earning शुरू हो सकती है
College degree एक formality है — पर degree के साथ practical skills नहीं हैं तो degree का ROI zero है।
Option 2: Nearby Better Colleges Consider करो
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) — Hathras से 35 km। India के top universities में से एक। अगर AMU entrance clear कर सकते हो, तो यह Hathras area का best option है। Engineering, Science, Arts, Law, Medicine — almost हर field available है।
Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra — 55 km दूर। University campus पर direct admission भी होता है, affiliated colleges भी हैं। Agra में job market भी Hathras से बड़ा है (1,100+ LinkedIn listings vs Hathras के 137)।
35-55 km daily commute मुश्किल है, लेकिन hostel या PG लेकर रह सकते हो। Investment ज़्यादा लगेगा, लेकिन exposure और opportunities भी ज़्यादा मिलेंगी।
Option 3: Online Learning + Degree Combo
यह 2026 का सबसे practical approach है।
Degree college Hathras का — regular attendance, exam, certificate। लेकिन real learning online से:
- Coursera, edX — Harvard, Stanford, IIT के courses free में audit कर सकते हो
- NPTEL/SWAYAM — IIT professors पढ़ाते हैं, Hindi में भी कुछ courses available

Degree formality Hathras से पूरी करो, education दुनिया भर से लो। Internet ने distance eliminate कर दिया है — बस initiative तुम्हें लेना है।

मैं honestly बताता हूं — मैंने भी शुरू में यही सोचा था कि "अच्छा college = अच्छा career।" बस admit हो जाओ किसी अच्छी जगह, बाकी सब set हो जाएगा।
यह Hathras का नहीं, पूरे India का सबसे बड़ा misconception है।
Hathras district में literacy rate 83.22% है (2023-24 PLFS data)। Male literacy 96.68%, female 73.30%। मतलब पढ़े-लिखे लोग कम नहीं हैं। फिर भी local job market में 100-150 listings हैं। LinkedIn पर Hathras से जो professionals दिखते हैं — engineers, developers, digital marketers — वो सब metros में काम कर रहे हैं। Hathras में नहीं।
Pattern clear है: Hathras produces talent, but doesn't retain it.
तो college choose करते वक्त सिर्फ "कौन सा college अच्छा है" मत पूछो। पूछो — "मैं college के 3 साल में क्या extra skills बनाऊंगा जो मुझे job-ready बनाएंगी?"
मैंने खुद यह सवाल बहुत late पूछा। काश किसी ने पहले बताया होता।

Hathras district में 683 गांव हैं और 474 Gram Panchayats। ज़्यादातर students गांवों से college आते हैं — और commute biggest factor है college choice में।
Kareel, Asroi, Nagla Sheesham, Lehra area → Mursan (SLSKD, Nishtha Chaudhary) सबसे करीब है। Mursan railway station connectivity अच्छी है।
Sahpau, Hasayan area → Hathras city (PC Bagla, Saraswati, Govt Degree College) या Sikandra Rao (Maharana Pratap Govt PG) — distance compare करो।
