🤔 Non-Duality (Advaita) Kya Hai?
Advaita Vedanta Sanatan Dharma ka sabse philosophically sophisticated darshan hai. 'A-dvaita' = 'na-do-pan' (not-two-ness). Iska mool sandesh — Ultimate Reality (Brahm) ek hai, ek-hi-hai, aur jo bhi 'multiple' dikhta hai (aap, doosre, duniya, ishwar) woh sab uss ek Brahm ka apparent manifestation hai. Aap separate-self nahi ho — aap bhi woh Brahm ho. 'Aham Brahmasmi' (Main Brahm hoon), 'Tat Tvam Asi' (Tu bhi woh hai), 'Sarvam Khalu Idam Brahm' (sab kuch Brahm hi hai) — yeh chaar mahavakya (great statements) Upanishads ke Advaita ki nichod hain.
Adi Shankaracharya (8th century) ne Advaita Vedanta ko systematize kiya. Unhone Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, aur Brahm Sutra pe bhashya (commentaries) likhe — yahi 'Prasthana Trayi' Advaita ka mool granth hai. Unhone bhi explain kiya — 'Brahm sat hai, jagat mithya hai, jiv brahmaiv naparah' (Brahm hi sat hai, jagat appearance hai, jiv aur brahm alag nahi hain). Modern times mein Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Swami Vivekananda, Swami Chinmayananda, aur abhi Swami Sarvapriyananda — sab Advaita ki direct lineage hain.
Lekin honest baat — non-duality urban Indian-educated mind ke liye 'too abstract' lagti hai initially. 'Sab kuch ek hi hai' bolne se nothing practical changes — aap ko abhi bhi office jaana hai, salary kamani hai, family palni hai. Toh non-duality ka practical value kya hai? Asli value yeh hai ki jab aap deep level pe yeh samjhne lagte ho ki 'separate self' ek illusion hai, toh fear, jealousy, comparison, aur 'main vs woh' wala suffering automatically reduce ho jata hai.
