🤔 Resume Kaise Banaye Kya Hai?
Resume ek 1-page (max 2-page) marketing document hai jo aapke last 3-5 saal ke kaam ka summary deta hai. Indian context mein log ise 'biodata' jaisa treat karte hain — photo, marital status, father's name, religion, address, hobbies (reading, listening to music). Yeh 1990s ka format hai — aaj kal koi nahi padhta, ATS (Applicant Tracking System) bhi reject kar deta hai.
Modern resume ke 4 sections hote hain: (1) Header — naam, phone, email, LinkedIn, city. Bas. (2) Summary — 2-3 lines kya karte ho + key skills. (3) Experience — reverse chronological, har role ke 3-5 bullet points, achievements with numbers. (4) Education + skills + certifications — ek-ek line. Photo, hobbies, declarations — sab gone.
Do critical truths jo most Indians miss karte hain. Pehla — recruiter resume pe 6-8 seconds spend karta hai initially. ATS scan + human scan combined. Yeh 6 seconds mein top half ki summary + first job ke first 2 bullets dikhte hain. Iss area mein impact-driven content hona zaroori hai. Doosra — 'responsibilities' aur 'achievements' alag hain. 'Handled team of 10' = responsibility. 'Led team of 10 to deliver project 2 weeks early, saving ₹15 lakh' = achievement. Resume achievements se bharo, responsibilities nahi.
ATS (Applicant Tracking System) ka role samajhna important hai. Naukri, LinkedIn, company portals — sab ATS use karte hain. PDF text-extractable hona chahiye (Canva ke fancy graphics break ho jaate hain). Job description ke keywords resume mein naturally aane chahiye — yeh 'keyword stuffing' nahi, 'language matching' hai.
Is chat room mein real Indian situations discuss hote hain — fresher ke liye '0 experience' ka kya likhe, gap year ka kaise frame, multiple short stints kaise dikhaye, IT vs non-IT format difference, LinkedIn profile aur resume ka alignment, career change (engineer to product manager) ka resume strategy.
